Why is that so exciting, you ask? Well besides the obvious, I get to meet my baby sooner....your chances of miscarrying after the 1st trimester is over goes down to 1%.
I cannot believe that I have made it this far. I am ready to push forward and move right through these next 29 weeks. It'll be a breeze, right? hahaha
This week baby is the size of a....
yummy, makes me want a Corona.
What is Poppy doing this week?
Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two -- nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.
NT scan is scheduled for Friday. I can't wait to see what is going on in there. I honestly DO NOT feel pregant. I mean, I do have a few of the less known symptoms, but as far as morning sickness goes, I have been scott free. Woo Hoo! It sometimes worries me that I have it so easy...I wonder to myself, maybe something is wrong. We continue to pray every night about this and know that God will be taking care of us. Hopefully, I am just one of the lucky ones that will get to enjoy every moment of pregnancy without hovering over the porcelin god. ;) wink wink.
